DEFINITION: Children receiving SNAP benefits (formerly the Food Stamp Program) is the number of children under age 18 who participated in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in 2009 and the percentage change between 2005 and 2009 in the number of children under age 18 participating.
