Rhode Island KIDS COUNT regularly provides information and data-based testimony on children's issues to committees of the General Assembly, City and Town Councils and school committees. Each Legislative Session, Rhode Island KIDS COUNT tracks the movement of bills in the State's General Assembly that affect children and families. Rhode Island KIDS COUNT maintains a list of tracked bills with updates. Rhode Island KIDS COUNT also produces an annual Legislative Wrap-Up describing the progress of the bills in the previous session. The Wrap Up reports on the outcome of selected laws and budget appropriations affecting children in the areas of economic well-being, health, child care and early childhood education, education and safety considered in the Rhode Island General Assembly's Legislative Session.
