  • Lipsitt Lecture in Child Behavior and Development – April 2, 2026, from 4-6pm
    • The speaker for this year is Dr. Kang Lee (University of Toronto). Dr. Lee’s work has been in the areas of the development of deception (lying and cheating), face processing in children and adults, and the early development of racial bias and its reduction.
    • Registration is required.

Rhode Island KIDS COUNT Factbook Breakfast

The Factbook Breakfast is held annually in the Spring to release our most important publication – The Rhode Island KIDS COUNT Factbook.

Over the past three decades, the annual Factbook release has become the largest children’s public policy event of the year, and is attended by more than 500 community leaders and elected officials.

Celebration of Children’s Health and Well-Being

The annual Celebration of Children’s Health & Well-Being reflects on the progress that Rhode Island has made in achieving positive health outcomes for children. The event also highlights policy measures to keep children healthy, and underscores the important role that youth, parents, and other community members play in achieving important policy changes that support children’s health.
